Established in 1993, Earthworks is a publicly traded holding and international development company. Focused on environmentally sound management practices and projects for both the private and public sectors, Earthworks' strategy is to align itself with Native Americans and First Nations to identify and develop viable, mutually profitable projects.

Management's industry experience and knowledge has resulted in the identification of two ownership objectives:

• Develop unique business opportunities with a focus on waste management and renewable power, promoting environmentally sound and sustainable practices while providing economic benefits to our stakeholders and project partners.
• Establish a market niche in small- to medium-size communities that require operational, technical expertise and resources to cost-effectively manage infrastructure programs that are not being serviced satisfactorily by the larger industry providers.

Earthworks has one wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Cortina Integrated Waste Management, Inc. ("CIWM"), and professional working relationships with firms specializing in waste management.
