Earthworks Industries Inc. ("Earthworks"), established in 1993, is a publicly traded holding and international development company which focuses on environmentally sound management practices and projects for both the private and public sectors. Earthworks' strategy is to align itself with Native Americans and First Nations to identify and develop viable and mutually profitable projects. Earthworks has one 50% owned U.S subsidiary, Cortina Integrated Waste Management Inc. ("CIWMI"), and a professional working relationship with firms specializing in waste management.
Objectives
Management's industry experience and knowledge of the competition has resulted in the identification of three ownership objectives. They are:- Establish a market niche in small- to medium-size communities that require operational, technical expertise and resources to cost-effectively manage solid waste programs that are not being serviced satisfactorily by the larger industry providers;
- Achieved growth is contingent upon establishing a vertically integrated service delivery model, currently utilized by the successful large waste management providers, on each project.
- Develop unique business opportunities with Native American/First Nations in the waste management and power generation areas, promoting environmentally sound and sustainable practices while providing economic benefits to our project partners.
